Bulkhead & Seawall Service in Great Neck, Virginia Beach
Great Neck is the peninsula between the Lynnhaven River and Broad Bay, and it holds some of the most water-wrapped neighborhoods in Virginia Beach. Nearly every street backs onto a creek, a cove, or the bay, and the bulkheads here are the reason the yards are yards and not water.
Many Waters, Many Walls
Because Great Neck fronts everything from sheltered creeks to the open Broad Bay, the walls face very different conditions block to block. A protected cove wall is a different job from one taking wake and fetch on the bay, so we size the sheet pile, the toe, and the anchors to the water each wall actually sees.
Repair, Rebuild, or Soften
We fix leaning and rotted walls at the wall, and where a Great Neck bank is low-energy we will tell you when a living shoreline would hold better and permit easier than another vertical wall. We are a marine contractor, not a foam-injection franchise.
Permits Here
Waterfront work in Great Neck runs through the Joint Permit Application to the Virginia Marine Resources Commission, the Army Corps, and the Virginia Beach wetlands board. We handle the permit side for what we build.
